Statement: When I had to live alone for the first time in my life, and my family’s emotional support turned to be a phone call in a few days a week, I faced the greatest fear of my life which was loneliness. I needed to indulge myself in something. As I am a detail oriented person, taking a small world in my hand with the size of used teabag tissues was the safest option to me. Irregular stitches on these little papers with needles depicted lack of my sewing skill, unlike my mother. The paper was torn quickly, the way of sewing was incorrect, the needle strokes hurt my hand and nothing was corrected. I didn’t really have this feminine skill. I was alone, I sewed wrong and wrong. After some time I don’t know how the strokes of needles in my hand could not hurt me anymore. I wanted to make sure, I deliberately exaggerated. Sometimes I pushed the needle more in my hand and I felt no pain anymore. Maybe I was getting used to being alone.

Context: In this collection I started some new works with Kurdish traditional fabrics which I gathered from traditional tailors of my hometown, Sanandaj city in Iran. Also, I created handmade papers with using natural colors from various herbal plants.
In addition, I collected used teabags in order to separate their tissues to add on my collage works.
I tried to recycle and reuse everything, even the main base of works are cardboard which I gathered from rubbish around my town. also in some parts of works I used papier mache with those collected cardboard.
