Statement

After I immigrated to the USA to continue my art studies, I began to search for my new identity within my new environment. I still use traditional Kurdish fabrics in some of my works. Here, I try to introduce a new version of myself, one that is still unclear to me, through new patterns inspired by my own culture. This new version has been manipulated and distorted, carrying some shadows of who I was before.
